Resources to Support Affiliates
The purpose of the Love INC National Headquarters is to provide leadership and direction to the national Love INC movement, support and build the capacity of affiliates for effective ministry to people in need, and develop new affiliates.
Provide Vision and Leadership to the National Movement
The National Headquarters has the special privilege of familiarity with all affiliates across the country. From this unique vantage point, the National Headquarters is able to discern and anticipate trends, issues, and opportunities for the movement as a whole. Staff expertise in program development, church outreach, and the problems of poverty allow the National Headquarters to develop strategies and initiatives that help affiliates address these issues and opportunities.
The National Headquarters has become the central repository of information on the Love INC model and best practices as the ministry has evolved since its inception over 30 years ago. The National Headquarters offers this wealth of knowledge in affiliate communities as they serve people in need. This unique perspective also allows the National Headquarters insights into the spiritual health of the movement, and opportunities to nourish and encourage the ministry spiritually.
Build the Capacity of Affiliates

To help affiliates accomplish the Love INC mission, the National Headquarters serves as a clearinghouse to receive and assess affiliate needs, and provides technical assistance, training, counsel, site visits, materials, best practices, encouragement and support, and other resources-all free of charge.
Supportive services and resources include:
- Training in Building the Love INC Foundation, Clearinghouse Operations, Relational Ministry, board of directors development, and other areas of organizational development.
- Annual National Conference (registration fees apply), National Directors Retreat, Leadership Institute, and President's Summit to equip affiliates for ministry, provide spiritual nourishment and encouragement, and facilitate the sharing of best practices and networking across the movement.
- Tool kits and materials on organizational issues and program initiatives, including board of directors, personnel, building youth assets, money management for clients, how to form a nonprofit corporation, Relational Ministry, and more.
- Development of new program initiatives and best practices.
- Counsel, technical assistance, site visits, speaking engagements, and assessments by the president, staff, and/or national trainers on all facets of the Love INC model and areas of organizational development.
- National marketing and communications materials, including an annual report, newsletters, brochures, fact sheets, pocket folders, booklets, PowerPoint presentations, videos, graphics and illustrations.
- Fundraising opportunities through The Sound Off for Poverty, a national youth initiative that teaches young people about poverty in America and empowers them to do something about it by raising awareness and funds to help people in need through Love INC.
The Love INC National Headquarters provides ongoing support, training, and guidance throughout the life of the affiliate.
Develop New Affiliates
Starting a new Love INC affiliate requires a minimum of six different denominations agreeing to work together, and a committed and visionary development committee to cast the vision in the community and undertake the steps necessary to form a nonprofit organization.
To help facilitate the process of birthing an affiliate, the National Headquarters walks alongside developing affiliates by providing training in the Love INC model, and technical assistance and mentoring in all aspects of forming a nonprofit corporation, developing a board of directors, and hiring an executive director. The National Headquarters also provides a development kit that includes a step-by-step guide to affiliation, tool kits, and free marketing materials for local use.
