Kirk Vander Molen

Executive Director

Kirk’s prior work experience includes: Love INC National Director of Missional Integrity, Love INC affiliate Executive Director in Michigan, associate pastor, youth worker and newspaper reporter.

Kirk’s education includes a Bachelor’s Degree in business/communications from Hope College, a Masters of Divinity from Western Seminary, and a Master’s of Social Work from Grand Valley State University.

Currently Kirk is pursuing a Ph.D. at Western Michigan University with a research focus on the interaction of supportive relationships and faith with coping skills and problem-solving of people experiencing financial difficulty.

Richard Strick

Associate Director of New & Transitioning Affiliates

Richard has obtained both a bachelor’s and master’s degree with a focus on cross-cultural studies, Bible, and pastoral studies. In addition to serving as Love INC National staff, Richard holds a seat on the Huntington City Council and is active in local community development activities. Before joining the Love INC National staff, Richard served in ministerial positions divided among his church, Love INC National, and his local Love INC affiliate in Huntington, Indiana.

Working on leadership and organizational development are twin passions of Richard’s that help him coach others through affiliate development. He enjoys watching others discover the best path forward as they seek God’s direction, and he’s found slow and steady brings about lasting transformation in our lives, our organizations, and our communities.

Lora Petitt

Director of  Affiliates

Lora grew up in Hull, Iowa, and graduated from Dordt College with a degree in Psychology.

While her husband was in graduate school in Davenport, Iowa, she worked as a Case Manager for the Handicapped Development Center, implementing goals and plans for adults with disabilities.

After moving to Sheldon, Iowa, in 2002, she worked briefly for Hope Haven, in the Intensive Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program.

Through God’s blessings, 2003 proved to be the beginning of continuous change in Lora’s life:  the first of four children was born and the Love In the Name of Christ of Greater Sheldon affiliate opened.

Lora served as the Executive Director from its inception in 2003 until May 2013, at which point she became the Director of Affiliates for the Love INC National Movement.
