When Melissa stood at the base of her mother Elizabeth’s front porch steps, she was overwhelmed—navigating thoughts about discharge paperwork, wheelchairs, and the reality that her mom couldn’t come home unless those steps somehow became a ramp.
The cost felt overwhelming, and the timeline was urgent.

Then Love INC of Cowlitz County stepped in.

One of their Gap Ministry teams—skilled volunteers from local churches—arrived with lumber, tools, and willing hands. They built what Melissa could not—at no cost.
