In February 2024, a fire broke out in parts of Mradi Village, Embakasi. To stand by the community they serve, Love INC Mombasa Road called on its network of churches, pastors, volunteers, and partners to form an emergency response team to mobilize and assist those affected. Despite Love INC not being an emergency ministry, the incident demonstrated the importance of a network built and nurtured over time to help those in need. With 18 partner churches and 47 volunteers, 127 individuals were served through the ministry and 329 needs were met. This response reaffirmed Love INC Kenya’s commitment to holistic transformation, not just during emergencies, but in their daily work, addressing the physical, emotional, spiritual, and economic areas of one’s life.
